JP Fortier
Station DirectorJP lives in Farmington with his wife, Rachel, and two children, Jacob 4 and Natalie 2. Originally from the coastal town of Wiscasset, JP traded in his deep sea fishing pole for a fly rod when he was hired by MBTV in the fall of 2000. He has been involved in community television since he was in high school, serving on the Board of Directors of Lincoln County Community Access TV. JP enjoys all people and is happy to teach video productions to anyone interested. JP is proud of the accomplishments made at MBTV. MBTV started from a one-room station in the basement of the community center and is now a fully operational facility, complete with two edit suites, cablecast room, and television studio. JP welcomes all who are interested in making a TV show to come down for a tour to see just how easy it is to make television happen. |

Tricia
Cook
Livermore FallsTricia graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a BA in Women’s Studies. She currently works for the Western Mountains Alliance, an organization working to promote sustainable economic and community development in the five counties of western Maine. It is from her background in adult education and family literacy that she first connected with MBTV when she operated a camera for the program Once Upon a Time in 2001. Tricia was immediately struck by the tremendous resource and potential of the station, and specifically in the concept of public access. In a democratic, fun-loving society, what is more democratic and enjoyable than producing programming for public access TV? As a strong advocate for the free flow of information and ideas of learning and fun, Tricia recognizes MBTV as a hub of this activity and is interested in working to support and advance the station. Originally from southern Maine, Tricia moved to northern Androscoggin County ten years ago. She lives in Livermore Falls with her husband, Kevin, where she enjoys Saturday morning putterings, sewing and being outdoors in just about any weather.
